The SeverusPT Project, funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology, developed an analytical framework to assess, map, and predict the severity of burned areas based on satellite data. This final seminar will present the project’s main results, including the conceptual framework developed, the implemented products and services, the applications for mapping burned area severity, and the severity prediction model. There will also be a Round Table to discuss the challenges of post-fire management and monitoring.

The SeverusPT Project developed an analytical framework to assess, map, and predict the severity of burned areas, based on indicators of ecosystem functioning derived from satellite data.
In this context, the hands-on workshop aims to provide participants with in-depth and practical knowledge about the data and tools for mapping and analyzing burned area severity developed within the project, based on satellite imagery (Sentinel-2, Landsat, MODIS).
